Congregation B’nai Israel Galveston Youth Volunteers

Not all super heroes wear capes! We had the honor of meeting with Rabbi Matt Cohen and Kim and Jody Stein and a remarkable group of young volunteers with the Congregation B’nai Israel of Galveston Island today. These amazing folks chose to give their early Sunday morning to us by cleaning and organizing toys and replacing light bulbs and even fixing ceiling tiles! We are so blessed and grateful that they created a clean and safe environment for the children we serve!

PALS (Peer Assistance and Leadership) Program

Juliana Bozeman and Meredith Colelli and the other members of the PALS (Peer Assistance and Leadership) program of Clear Springs High School reminded us this morning that not all heroes wear capes. For Juliana’s service project, this group of remarkable people collected toys, clothes and stuffed animals,as well as a giftcard to Target! PALS are a group of high schoolers who mentor and spend time with elementary school kids who need a little extra love and support, they chose to do this, are interviewed and then are able to join this incredible group who are doing more than they could possibly ever know! We are so grateful for them!

Gulfside Cleaning

We are so grateful for our friends at Gulfside Cleaning, Ben Peterek and his crew were like cleaning elves over the weekend, deep cleaned the building from the base boards to the blinds, the windows and sills, stripped and waxed the laminate floors, scrubbed the grout and made this place look almost new! It is sparkling in here! The most incredible part is that Gulfside Cleaning’s owner Ben has donated the entire deep cleaning job they did!! They are really a company who put their money where their mouth is. Ben is a huge supporter of the work we do and stands with us in the fight against child abuse in many events. Thank you Ben, Flor and the incredible crew at Gulfside Cleaning!
